ITINERARY
DAY 1: WELCOME TO PERU - DINNER AT HUACA PUCLLANA RESTAURANT
Assistance at your arrival in Lima and transfer to your hotel. At the arranged time, dinner at Huaca Pucllana Restaurant, renowned restaurant that offers delicious Peruvian food and a unique view of this archaeological site. Transfer to your hotel and overnight.

DAY 2: MARKET – COOKING CLASS – CITY TOUR

On this morning, you will visit a local market to taste exotic fruits, such as custard apple, golden berry, camu camu, dragon fruit, among others, and will get all the necessary ingredients for this day’s cooking class. In this market, you will find incredible local products, and will observe closely the local daily life. Once you have got all the provisions, you will take part in a cooking class, in which you will learn to prepare traditional dishes such as “Causa Rellena” (Peruvian layered potato dish) and the flag dish of Peru “Ceviche”, accompanied by the famous “Pisco Sour” cocktail. Enjoy this delicious lunch. Out next stop will be the Historical Center of Lima, where we will visit the most representative places, such as The Main Square, The Government Palace and, The Aliaga House, known for being the oldest house in Lima, and which after 17 generations is still a family property. Then we will go back to Miraflores to visit its beautiful Malecón and Love Park.

DAY 3: LARCO MUSEUM – BARRANCO – CHOCOLATE TASTING
After breakfast, we will pick you up from your hotel to head for Pueblo Libre District, where is situated one of the most beautiful museums of Peru, The Larco Museum, famous for its collection of Erotic Huaco Pottery, for containing ceramic pieces and a fine collection of gold and silver from Ancient Peru. Our next stop will be the bohemiam district of Barranco where is situated the Bridge of Sighs, which inspired the known singer Chabuca Granda, we will enjoy the exquisite flavours of creole cuisine at Isolina Restaurant owned by chef Jose del Castillo. Then you will have a tasting of exquisite Peruvian chocolates, internationally awarded, and will visit and a local coffee roaster, Ciclos Cafe, where you will taste a delicious organic coffee accompanied by a typical dessert.

DAY 4: AREQUIPA – WALKING FOOD TOUR
Breakfast, transfer to the airport for your flight to Arequipa. In the afternoon, we will discover the flavors of the “White City” by visiting a local market and tasting beer and chocolates. We will go to the San Camilo Market, where we will taste delicious fruits, such as papaya, Pacae, Lucuma, and many more, then head to the Plaza de Armas, and the Cathedral, we will visit the church of La Compañia, and its cloisters, then we will taste different Peruvian chocolates in the Chaqcha store and we will close this experience with a refreshing craft beer.

DAY 5: SANTA CATALINA CONVENT – PICANTERIAS ROUTE

After breakfast, we will visit Santa Catalina Convent, a stunning colonial monastery known as a "city within a city." and one of the most iconic attractions in Arequipa. Following this cultural immersion, we will embark on a delightful culinary journey to explore 3 traditional Picanterías, experiencing the authentic flavors of Arequipa. Our first stop is in Cayma, where we will visit a typical Picanteria specializing in Adobo a hearty and flavorful pork stew. We then continue our culinary adventure to the district of Yanahuara, where you can enjoy Queso Helado, a traditional handmade ice cream, along with a refreshing Chicha Morada, a popular drink made from purple corn, or Chicha de Guiñapo, a unique fermented beverage. To conclude, we will visit a Picantería located in the downtown area, where you’ll savor a variety of traditional dishes from Arequipeña cuisine.

DAY 6: CUSCO – SACRED VALLEY – PISAC RUINS AND MARKET

After breakfast, you will be transferred to the airport to board your flight to Cusco City, the capital of the Inca Empire. At your arrival, you will set out into the Sacred Valley of the Incas. First, we will visit the incredible Pisac Ruins, which had agricultural, religious and military purposes in the Inca Empire and were built in a strategic position with beautiful views of the Sacred Valley. Then, will will go to Pisaq, which has a big Market every day, full of items for tourists and locals, such as handmade crafts, alpaca wool products, etc. In the afternoon, we will visit Hacienda Sarapampa, known for producing giant maize, endemic the Sacred Valley, where you will have a brief visit to the farm, the maize fields and the interpretation centre. Next, you will enjoy a 4-course lunch. After lunch, you will go to the hotel. On this first day, we advise you to take it calmly and relax in order to acclimate better to the altitude.

DAY 7: MORAY – MARAS – BREWERY OF THE VALLEY

In the morning, we will visit the impressive Maras Salt Mines, where we will learn about its ancient preInca method of salt production. Then, we will head for the circular terraces of Moray, which were used as an Inca laboratory for acclimating crops. Next, we will enjoy a traditional lunch meal called Pachamanca, cooked underground, in an organic farmhouse with excellent views of the surrounding snow mountains and the Ollantaytambo Ruins. At the end of the day, we will visit Cerveceria del Valle, which produces craft beers using high quality ingredients and glacial springs. Here we will have a guided visit and a tasting of its best beers. Transfer to your hotel.

DAY 8: TRAIN TO AGUAS CALIENTES – MACHU PICCHU

Today, you will go on a 1.5 hour trip by Vistadome train, through a spectacular landscape to Aguas Calientes town. At your arrival, you will get to know the impressive Machu Picchu Ruins —“The Lost City of the Incas”, one of the most important archaeological sites of the world, you will learn about its history, and visit the truly remarkable Temples of the Sun and the Condor, you will also see the aqueducts and houses. After the visit, you will enjoy a delicious buffet lunch at Tinkuy Restaurant. Train to Cusco with an overnight stay.

DAY 9: SAN PEDRO MARKET – CITY TOUR
In the morning, you will visit San Pedro Market, the most important market in the city, which has a large variety of potatoes, maize, meat, cheese, fruits, etc. After we will visit Sacsayhuaman, a very important religious and ceremonial site for the Inca culture, where you will be amazed by the architectonical achievements of this ingenious civilization. As part of your city tour, you will also get to know the Cathedral of Cusco, a UNESCO world heritage, located in the Main Square of the city, where you will see art works of the “Escuela Cusqueñal” (Cusco Art School). We will then go to the “Koricancha” Sun Temple, an Inca site that was one of the most worshiped and respected temples of the city. Return to your hotel, and rest of the afternoon free to walk around. To complete this lovely trip around Peru, you will have a farewell Novoandina dinner at Map Café Restaurant.

DAY 10: FLY TO LIMA
At the agreed time, transfer to Cusco Airport. Flight to Lima. International connection
